Summary: The Lake County Office of Education, the common link in public education serving a geographically isolated area, provides leadership and support to our schools and communities by planning, coordinating, facilitating, and delivering exemplary services and educational programs.
The Lake County Office of Education is first and foremost a
service agency. As you review our web page, you will see the many ways
in which our office serves our seven school districts as well as the
children and adults of Lake County. The common thread that unifies all
of the services and programs of LCOE is the commitment to assist every
student attending our schools to achieve success. Whether it is a
pre-school program preparing children for kindergarten, after-school
and in–school tutoring programs, technology training, or support for
families and parent education, the students are the reason for our
existence.
Our local school districts have set high standards for students. It
is the mission of the Lake County Office of Education to provide
support and staff development to our schools to ensure that all
students meet these standards. The means to provide this assistance
comes in part from grant funding that provides new programs and
services. The strength of this office lies in a resourceful and
responsive staff that works closely with schools and community
organizations in a partnership to meet the needs of the children and
adults in our county.
