The Modoc County Office of Education promotes the academic, social, and vocational excellence of all students in the county. The Modoc County Office of Education strives to enhance the educationally sound programs that exist in Modoc County, by providing leadership, service, and support to our county’s schools.

The Modoc County Office of Education’s role as the regional service and support unit for the schools of the county requires the Modoc County Office of Education to establish effective professional relations with local schools, parents, and community organizations to advance education throughout the county.

The Modoc County Office of Education serves as an intermediate unit operating between the California State Department of Education and the schools within the jurisdiction of the County Superintendent.
